System Development Lifecycle or SDLC consist in five stages:

Planning
Analysis
Design
Implementation
Maintenance

PaDIMe (Planning and Analysis (Pa), Design (D), Implementation (I) and Maintenance/Evaluation (Me)

Planning and Analysis (Pa)
“Pa” is the “What” of the project (Consist in identify necessary functions, determine costs and benefits)

Design (D)
“D” is the “how” of the project (Screen prototypes)

Implementation (I)
“I” is the part that usually spend more time on the project and where QA and Test Analyst are more involved as well (coding, testing, de-bugging, training (After Testing is complete, Documentation)

Maintenance/Evaluation (Me)
“Me” is the system doing what it supposed to do (Help desk of sorts, begin after testing is ongoing)
